What Do My Muscles Have to do With My Teeth?
Muscles are the most quickly altered tissues in our system as a result of influences outside of the body. They are the “first responders” that attempt to forcibly correct an imbalance of our structural skeletal system. Their job is to stabilize the joints and will produce strain and consequently pain in the process of trying to reposition a joint that is out of place.
We strive to determine whether the muscle needs help to relax or whether we need to assist the muscle in achieving proper joint position. If the joint is properly positioned, we help to rehabilitate tired and sore muscles with the use of healing and physical therapy equipment and techniques in our iSpa program.
We also utilize dental appliance therapy as well as Botox (in very specific circumstances) to achieve muscle relaxation and pain relief.
