Snap, Crackle, Pop is Not a Healthy Way of Life
People with jaw joints that click and pop or a neck that has problems with “getting stuck” often have issues throughout their entire body. Dr. Angela Tenholder has specialized training and certifications to help her patients with Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD).
Very few dentists in this country have the level of training that she has received. She has helped many patients avoid surgery and assisted them in their healing process. TMJD is a very painful and complicated condition that Dr. Tenholder once had, has successfully recovered from and is passionate about treating for her patients.
The joints of our body allow movement and provide stability to the human frame. The relationships of the joints of the body play a tremendous role in function and overall well-being.
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is one of the most complex, sensitive and important joints. It is also one of the most misunderstood and undertreated due to its tremendous complexity. Treatment of this joint often directly and indirectly affect the position of many other joints in the body, especially those of the upper neck and cervical spine.
We use dental appliance therapy to assist in the proper positioning and rehabilitation of the TMJ to treat the condition known as Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD).
